# How long does a money transfer take?

## The time a money transfer takes can vary.

Because Covercy is a regulated financial institution, we must meet certain regulatory requirements. Sometimes, this means we need extra documentation before we can approve a transfer.

Once the transfer has been approved and the funds arrive in Covercy's account, the transfer will be processed either on the same day or on the next business day, depending on what time the funds arrived in Covercy's account. So, from the moment a transfer is approved, you can expect funds to arrive in the recipient's account in 1-3 business days.
