# How do I sync Covercy bank transactions with Rent Manager?

## Automatically Sync Covercy Bank Transactions with Rent Manager for Reconciliation.

Note: Bank Sync is only available to [Rent Manager Plus and Rent Manager Premium users](https://www.rentmanager.com/pricing/).

**Automatically sync your Covercy bank transactions with Rent Manager to simplify reconciliation and eliminate manual data entry.** No more tedious, line-by-line comparisons. By securely connecting your Covercy account via **Plaid**, your real-world bank transactions will flow directly into Rent Manager. This ensures your financial records stay **accurate, up to date, and easy to reconcile.**

Once synced, your Covercy bank transactions will appear in Rent Manager, where you can **quickly match them to existing records or create new transactions as needed.** With just a few clicks, you'll **reduce the risk of discrepancies, improve efficiency, and gain confidence in your financial data.**

### Follow these steps below to get started:

1. **Log into Rent Manager Express.**
2. Navigate to **Menu → Accounting → Accounting Setup.**
3. Select **Bank Sync Setup**.
4. Click **+** **Manage Institution**.
5. A **Connect Accounts** pop-up will appear.
6. **Agree to Privacy Policy & Continue**.
7. **Add a New Institution:** 
     1. Click **Add New** to begin the process.
     2. In the **Search** field, type '**Covercy**' and select it from the results.
8. **Authenticate Your Account:** 
     1. Enter your **phone number** associated with the account officer/owner.
     2. You will receive a one-time **password** **via SMS**.
     3. Complete the authentication process.
9. **Select Accounts & Link to the General Ledger (GL):**  
     1. Choose the **bank account(s)** you want to sync, then click **Continue**.
     2. In the **Description** field, enter a **unique identifier** for the institution (this helps you recognize the login associated with the accounts).
     3. In the **Linked GL Account** column, select the appropriate **GL account** for each bank account.
     4. If you **do not select a GL account**, Rent Manager will ignore the institution account and **will not** pull transactions, even if it is synced.
     5. Click **Save.**
10. **Sync Transactions:**  
      1. Open the newly connected account.
      2. Click **Sync Transactions.**

**Done!** Your Covercy bank transactions will now appear in Rent Manager for smooth reconciliation.
